One theme that is very meaningful to my life that exists in this book is: it's not good to let a first impression completely define someone/something. If you are a person like me, then you may not always be the best at first impressions. When people judge you based on whatever first impression that you give them, it can be a harmful thing because they will not know who you truly are. A year ago, I may have forgot to turn my homework in a few times, but those few mistakes that I thought seemed minor forced the teacher to have a bad attitude towards me.
